When something needs doing in Summerville, people turn to Dexcter Mack. Whether it’s cutting through red tape, lending a hand, or connecting neighbors with the right resources, Dexcter is the go-to person who always shows up—and gets results.
Now, Dexcter is ready to bring that same energy, dedication, and heart to Town Council as a true voice for District 1.
For the past 17 years, Dexcter has served the community through his work at the Dorchester County Auditor’s Office, earning a reputation for outstanding constituent service. In fact, his commitment was recognized when he was named County Employee of the Year in 2024. If you've ever had to navigate county government, chances are Dexcter was there to help make the process smoother.
Dexcter’s service extends far beyond his day job. He currently serves as President of the District 1 Civic Association and is the founder of the Summerville Councilman’s Ball Committee—an initiative that honors local changemakers and awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors. He is also the former president of the Summerville Branch of the NAACP and has coordinated community efforts such as the Steve Harvey Turkey Giveaway.
On election days, Dexcter has served as a poll worker, ensuring citizens can cast their votes. He’s also helped seniors make their homes ADA compliant and has volunteered with Village to Village, a nonprofit that provides transportation to Dorchester County residents in need.
Dexcter Mack is deeply rooted in service, and he’s ready to take that commitment to the next level for District 1.
